George G.'s Limited Production 1976 "Starsky & Hutch"® Ford Gran Torino®

George bought this well-preserved, factory original S&H Unit from Mark P. in Wisconsin. It has only had a few owners. It originally came with a 351 but now has a monster 460 in it. It had cloth bench seats and shift on the steering column just like the car in the first season of the TV show, but George swapped those out for bucket seats, center console, and floor shifter. If you've thought of doing that with your Torino, now you know it CAN be done.

When he bought it, George had the car's few minor body flaws repaired and had it repainted. He replaced the original, angular factory stripe with a curved "swoop" more reminiscent of the TV show. The pointed end of the stripe stayed as it originally was.

The photos on this page were taken at S&H Torino Reunion at the 2006 Carlisle, PA All-Ford Nationals. George is a regular Carlisle attendee and has been a winner in the S&H Torino class at least once.
